Un altro dissipatore targato Gigabyte Nel Dicembre del 2003 Gigabyte fece uscire il suo primo prodotto per il raffreddamento. Chiamato "3D Cooler-Pro", Gigabyte aveva progettato questo dissipatore per essere montato su Athlon 64, su Athlon xp e Pentium 4. Questo supporto universale era veramente unico, dal momento che pochi dissipatori potevano coprire allo stesso momento tanti prodotti.
In questo periodo Gigabyte ha presentato il nuovo "3D Rocket Cooler", caratterizzato anch'esso dall'universabilità (supporta tutti i processori). Il peso è di 490g ed è composto da alluminio e rame. Di questo prodotto esiste sia la versione liscia, sia quella PRO. Legion Hardware ha testato la versione liscia.
Il dissipatore è stato provato su un Pentium 4 Extreme Edition.
The 3D Rocket Cooler blower is extremely quiet when operating at just 2500 RPM’s, once in a case the cooler is virtually silent. At 3000 RPM the cooler creates a slight hint of wind resistance, but once again in a case this will go unnoticed. Obviously the “Super Silent” version of the Gigabyte 3D Rocket Cooler is not designed to cool processors such as the Pentium 4 Extreme Edition. While it can, this would be a job better suited to the 3D Rocket Cooler “Pro” which is capable of operating at much higher RPM ratings.Link alla recensione
